Now that the boutique has settled down slightly we at Violet Hill have decided to have our first promotion!

Sophie Monet Arrival!

Yesterday I got a very welcomed surprise when a box from Sophie Monet, out of Los Angeles graced my door step. Sophie does such amazing and unique work and I am so excited to be the first in Canada to carry the line. Sophie incorporates 22Karat Gold Leaf, Zebra Wood, Shedua Wood, Amethyst and a variety of crystals in her jewellery pieces. I have already taken the amethyst ring and zebra wood with gold leaf necklace for myself! It's definitely a line worth checking out!

Opening Weekend!

Plain and Simple - We are finally open! After several months of waiting it was great to open our doors this weekend and show off our modest little boutique! Must say thanks to all of the amazing support we got from the community and especially friends and family. More details to come about what's next for the store shortly...

Fashion Event at Gudrun!

What would we do without Patrick and his amazing Wine Bar/Perfect Brunch Hideaway Gudrun? That is the question of the hour for sure.
Thanks to Patrick we at Violet Hill have had the privilege to hold another Pre-Opening Sale! This Sunday everyone was out in full force for the great Steveston Farmers Market and we were lucky enough to have many people stop by and shop our preview sale. Can't be thankful enough for all of the great support from fellow Villagers and beyond.

Some of the favoured labels of the afternoon were Designers Remix Collection and Covet! There was also lots of lurve for Gentle Fawn, Left on Houston, Eryn Brinie, and Kelsi Dagger too!

The 'Camron' Purple Dress from Designers Remix Spring 2010 is such a great draw for people to come and take a look at what we have! I think I might have to keep one and make it the mascot of Violet Hill.

Parisian Chic In Steveston

When trying to describe how I see Violet Hill looking once all the dust and drywall has cleared, I consistently explain it as " like a chic girl from Paris decided to make historic Steveston Village her new home".
Don't worry, I'm fully aware that my description doesn't offer much detail or clear imagery. Therefore I have decided to share with you some of the pieces I have picked up for the boutique that I believe represent my idea of "Parisian Chic in Steveston"

(I picked up the lovely owl Vase/Water Pitcher and the Chair from The Cross Home Decor on Homer Street).

Fashion and Wine Night at Gudrun Tasting Room

Thank you all so much for those who came out and supported Violet Hill on June 29th at Gudrun. It was great to see so much support from the community and the fellow fashion obsessed.

Patrick, the fabulous owner of Gudrun was gracious enough to let us use his beautiful space for the event. I hope everyone enjoyed previewing the clothes and are happy with their purchases.

We hope to do another similar event soon. Fingers crossed for an August 1st opening! More parties and events to come!
